This decides the kind of system, not the size. We ask rather than guess — how much you spend on electricity says nothing about whether you need power during a cut.

Reduce my electricity billAn on-grid system is the usual starting point. It generates while the sun is up and uses the grid the rest of the time; it does not run during a power cut.Keep things running during power cutsA hybrid system stays connected to the grid and keeps chosen circuits running when the supply fails.
